Premium — Bring your own AI

Why SnapApp connects to your OpenRouter account.

During onboarding, SnapApp asks you to connect an OpenRouter account. You do not need to learn OpenRouter or manage it yourself — we handle the models, prompts, and speed behind the scenes. Connecting your own account simply gives SnapApp permission to run AI on your behalf, so you stay in control of your credits and can unlock premium models whenever you want.

Before you start

SnapApp installed

Use the latest SnapApp desktop app for Mac or Windows, and open the project you want to connect.

An OpenRouter account

You will create or sign in to one during SnapApp onboarding. It takes under a minute.

OpenRouter is a popular, trusted AI gateway used by thousands of apps. SnapApp never charges markup or takes a cut. You only pay OpenRouter for what you use, and you can disconnect or switch accounts at any time from Settings → AI Provider.
