Tokens and premium AI models.

Your SnapApp license covers unlimited building on the standard SnapApp model — free, forever, with no usage limits. Tokens are an optional top-up that unlocks premium AI models for the prompts where you want the very best result.

Two ways to build.

A license and tokens are separate things. The license is what makes SnapApp yours. Tokens are what pay for premium model time.

Included with your license

Standard model — always free

SnapApp keeps a rotation of strong, free AI models tuned for app building. They cost you nothing to use and there is no daily or monthly prompt cap once you own a license ($29.99, one payment). This is the default for every prompt.

Optional

Tokens — premium models

Tokens are SnapApp's usage currency for premium AI. Buy a pack once, spend it only when you run a prompt on a premium model, and keep whatever you don't use. No subscription, no monthly reset, no expiry while your license is active.

The basics

What is a token?

A token is the unit SnapApp uses to measure premium AI work. One balance covers every premium prompt across every project in your account — there is no separate charge for hosting, storage, or the backend your app uses.

Tokens are spent on work, not on time. A one-line copy change costs a fraction of what a "build me a full booking flow with accounts and payments" prompt costs, because the second one reads far more of your project and writes far more code.

What uses tokens

  • Standard prompts (free model)0 tokens

Always free with a SnapApp license. No daily cap, no monthly reset.

  • Premium prompt (build or edit)Tokens

Charged on the model that answered, based on how much work the prompt needed.

  • Long or complex promptsMore tokens

Bigger context, more files touched, and longer answers all cost more.

  • Retries after a SnapApp error0 tokens

If a premium run fails on our side, we don't charge you for it.

Model rotation

SnapApp picks the best model for each prompt — you don't have to.

No single AI model is best at everything. SnapApp connects to the latest models as they are released and cycles between them, so each prompt is answered by whichever model handles that kind of work best today.

  1. Step 1

    Read the prompt

SnapApp looks at what you asked for — a small copy change, a new screen, a data model, a bug fix — and how much of your project it touches.

  2. Step 2

Route it to the right model

Each prompt goes to the model that performs best on that kind of work in our benchmarks, not to one fixed model for everything.

  3. Step 3

    Verify the result

The generated app has to build and run. If a model returns something broken, SnapApp retries on another model automatically.

  4. Step 4

    Keep the rotation current

New models are benchmarked as they launch and folded into the rotation. You get the newest models without changing anything in your project.

Spending well

Make your tokens go further.

Premium models are worth it for hard problems. For everything else, the free model is usually the faster answer.

Start on the free model

Draft screens, layouts, copy, and small fixes on the standard model. Switch to premium when a prompt genuinely needs deeper reasoning.

Ask for one thing at a time

Small, specific prompts cost fewer tokens and land closer to what you wanted than one long list of changes.

Say what's wrong, not just what broke

Including the exact screen and the behaviour you expected saves a round of back-and-forth — and a round of tokens.

Check your balance before a big build

Settings → Usage shows your remaining tokens and recent premium prompts so nothing interrupts you mid-build.

Token questions

Do I need tokens to build an app?
No. A SnapApp license gives you unlimited building on the standard SnapApp model. Tokens are optional and only pay for premium models.
Do tokens expire?
No. Token packs are a one-time purchase and stay on your account. They aren't a subscription and they don't reset each month.
What happens when I run out of tokens?
Nothing breaks. SnapApp falls back to the standard free model and you can keep building. Buy another pack whenever you want premium models again.
Can I choose the model myself?
You choose whether a prompt runs standard or premium. Which premium model answers is handled by SnapApp's rotation so you always get the strongest one for that task.
Where do I see my token balance?
In the desktop app under Settings → Usage, and on your SnapApp account page on the web.
